Why architecture?

My pioneering spirit found the opportunity to build a well designed and engineered building in our community. Beautiful and functional spaces are of personal interest to me and represent the same core design challenges; balancing light, color, texture with functionality, sustainability and budget on a larger scale.

The Healing Space, Cody Wyoming 8500 SQFT / 4 floors, new construction, medical/multi function office Contributions: Inspire and set creative direction for architect and landscape designer, designed internal spaces and key building features, sourced and selected green building materials, worked with construction company through the building process, designed furniture and furnishings and lastly installed building décor.

To gain residential experience, and employ my recent construction knowledge and connections, the remodel of my circa 1947 kitchen was added to the list of projects. Keeping the key mid century details and blending them with a contemporary design style to build a “cooks” kitchen.

  3. Portion of drawers on casters with walnut top can pull out for additional work surface
  4. Original flooring was linoleum (green product made from Linseed oil) replaced with the new generation marmoleum ® by Farbo
